FIRST COMES THE PAIN - THE ISOLATION - AND THE DESPAIR


When the pain overwhelms us, and we find ourselves without help, support or refuge, our human reaction is to crawl into a dark space and nurse our wounds. Feeling isolated while suffering from pain is like being tossed over a bank into a raging river by somebody you love. When your body is under attack, and even your physician helplessly wrings his hands in impotent despair, scribbling out a bunch of prescriptions in the hope that you may be one of the lucky ones who respond, you then begin to realize that

YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.

Nobody can feel the pain. Nobody can feel the loss of self. And nobody can understand the frustration, the fear and the overwhelming grief we all feel when we are first faced with an illness that causes relentless ongoing pain, day after day after day.




AT FIRST YOU TRY TO SWIM AGAINST THE UNRELENTING CURRENT, CONVINCED THAT YOU CAN OVERCOME THIS DREADFUL DISEASE. WHEN YOUR STRENGTH FAILS AND YOUR TORMENTED BODY YIELDS TO THE UNDERTOW WHICH BRINGS YOU INTO THE ABYSS OF BLACK DESPAIR, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR WHERE TO GO.


Your family, at first horrified and scared, tries to help and understand. But as the days roll into months, and the months form into solid years, gradually, ever so slightly, the sympathy dies a little, the help comes a little more reluctantly and the listening sympathetic ear is partially closed. It is then that we understand that WE ARE ALONE.


THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU RIGHT HERE ABOARD THE WELLNESS TRAIN


GET OUT OF YOUR RUT! THIS WT PLAN IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART BUT THEN, NEITHER IS THE PAIN AND SYMPTOMS YOU ARE GOING THROUGH!




Sit quietly in a favorite spot. Say to yourself I have not lost MEI have changed a little Perhaps not for the worst
If I choose Say a little Prayer mind
fully such as:


Dear Creator
I know that you have given me this to handle
And I will not disappoint you
I will show you that I am made of sterner stuff
and that I can conquer this
To the best of my ability
And in seeing that I can accomplish all that I can do
YOU will do the rest!...Amen




ASK YOUR"SELF" these five questions


1. How can I do something today to help me feel FREE?
2. How can I add to the life of a child, or somebody else in need?
3. How can I allow myself to be in the present and breathe in the splendor and the bounty all around me and .....IN ME?
4. How can I help myself overcome what has happened to me?
5. How can I pursue my life's purpose and realize still realize my life's dreams?

Write down your answers and study them carefully


WHAT ARE SOME OF THE DEEPER MEANINGS BEHIND MY PAIN, STRESS AND DISEASE?


In answering these questions only YOU can face the answers honestly.
WHAT GOOD WILL ALL THIS DO? You ask!
I AM IN PAIN ** I AM SUFFERING ** MY LIFE IS HORRIBLE **
Take a moment to do some deep breathing exercises
Breathe In - Count inside your head from one to ten - Breathe Out
Repeat five times


FOCUS ON YOUR INNER SELF
Sighs are not allowed, Be a good sport and follow this plan today
You will not be a loser
you will become a winner if you do!




HOW CAN YOU LOSE WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO TURN AROUND YOUR LIFE


Is it easier to lie in bed, to complain about the pain or to suffer in silence?


Watch and Listen

There is no need to get caught up in the "vicious anxiety circle". Instead, as you bring light into your dark feelings, you will enlighten yourself.


TEACH YOURSELF TO COPE.
You will begin to have more clarity than you have even known
Setbacks will not bother you any longer
Problems will turn into opportunities for growth
Fear will be understood, and not shut away in a dark closet in your mind


ALLOW YOUR ENERGY AND FOCUS TO RISE TO THE SURFACE


Breathe IN
Count to ten slowly in your mind
Breathe OUT
Count to ten slowly in your mind

Repeat Five times. - Release the Negative Energy - Focus on Light surrounding YOU!

It helps to understand that each time a crisis presents itself to you
In the guise of FEAR, PAIN, ANGER, RESENTMENT, FRUSTRATION etc.
When your Spirit is challenged
When you body is out of control
When you mind is trapping you into negative pathways


BREATHE IN
COUNT TO TEN IN YOUR MIND
BREATHE OUT
COUNT TO TEN IN YOUR MIND
REPEAT FIVE TIMES & FOCUS ON THE LIGHT SURROUNDING YOU


THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE AND IT WILL COME TO YOU.


Make an effort, a really honest effort,
to sweep out the dark closets in your mind
Relentlessly examine every object and feeling you find
Deal with it and TRASH IT


Breathe deeply as any fear, challenge or set
backs present themselves to you


KNOW THAT YOU ARE FREE
KNOW THAT YOU ARE ON A PURPOSE
THE REST IS MERE DETAILS
YOU HAVE DECIDED TO HELP YOURSELF TO HEALAND TO
Allow yourself to tap into your hidden power and understand and realize that the darkest days are really gifts that help you grow and become stronger.
A painful way to grow
YES! But You are in PAIN ANYWAY - Relax and GROW
But as you learn to rise above being involved in your illness
and to carrying on with bravery and determination
you WILL UNDERSTAND
that you are truly on the road to wellness
when you say


I CAN HANDLE IT
I AM GOING TO FEEL BETTER THE HARDER I WORK TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL
