at Itoshima High School
Murrieta group visited the city office. The
City Mayor (city manager), Treasurer, Superintendent,
a city council man welcomed them in the city
mayor's office. The City Mayor Mr. Haruta,
a graduate from Itoshima High School himself,
extends various kinds of support to our school
activities, but for this international program
with Murrieta Valley he shows special interest.
Maebaru City made friendly city partnership
affiliation (or what we call sister
city affiliations) with Escondido California
in the US in July 1996, with Kimhae City
in Korea in October 1997, and Qingpu Shanghai
in August 1998, and he visited California
three times. The superintendent was quite
excited to see Mr. Johnson this time.
