PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL SITE FOR CONESTOGA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
In an email from Dr. Gerald G. Huesken, Ed.D. CVHS, it was made it clear that this is not
an official site of the school. It never was. In the past when we requested
to get official status and to come under the school authority, CV was not interested.
But they were happy to point people to the site, verbally, to show our "school pride"
Sorry, but because of the email, I must post the following:
This site is officially closed to the public. Any use of the logos, pictures
or information contained in this site, is prohibited. Access by any means
past this page, to the unoffical CV volleyball site, will be considered as
an illegal act.
Site closing statement:
It has been no surprise to CV volleyball fans that the Conestoga Valley
Athletic Management considers the sport of volleyball as a minor sport.
Their non-respect for the winning program has been apparent thru the years.
As Football is given an office suite with high tech equipment, volleyball
is given a closet for volleyballs, nets and an office. As other sports have extra
coaches added to their roster, volleyball has been denied an extra coach,
even when the booster club offered to help fund the coach. Many other
examples such as being kicked out of the gym for practices could be
listed, but all those involved already know these problems.
So it comes as no surprise, after the volleyball program has achieved
2 state championships (one which CV never even honored the team),
1 second place state finish, 2 third place finishes, a domination of
section II for so many years, running a 155-0 record in section
matches, having sent so many players to all divisions of college volleyball
that Conestoga Valley HS has decided to go in a NEW DIRECTION.
I have worked with the volleyball program over 13 years, watching my two
daughters grow in the program, develop their skills, and then use them at
the college level. I have seen Coach Al take players as far as they will allow him
to take them, and I have seen players, in the past years, show total
disrepect to the coach, with the Athletic Dept's backing.
So with the NEW DIRECTION, comes the end of this website. We have been
so happy to serve the volleyball players for all these years and will
feel a void, especially after the college season when my last daughter's
volleyball career will be completed.
To past players and parents who are upset with the NEW DIRECTION, email me
at HeffVB@comcast.net, with your comments. Please include any comments for
Coach Al and I will pass them on to him. Any other comments will be passed
on to the appropriate parties.
No changes will be made to the website from this point on. Access to the website
will be limited but you can request access by emailing me and requesting
the password. The website will remain available until 100megsfree shuts it down
for non-use.
